In E236, Carstin Hao discusses his Airbnb arbitrage business that is focused in the United States. Carstin is investing at a distance, in cities he’s never been to. Airbnb arbitrage can be risky for those who don’t do it with diligence but Carstin seems to be doing a great job at mitigating his risk. From buying furniture, staging units, renting them out, getting cleaners, getting handymen and maintaining a superhost status, Carstin is getting it done and doing it with swagger. Carstin has 80 units in the US and 130 in total. He’s partnered with Aaron Bae and the two have put together an impressive operation. Tune in to hear a ridiculous amount of gold nuggets.
