In E026, Scott Zandbergen talks shop about rent to own, duplex conversions, landlording for success (landlord hacks) and how to manage the tenanting process for minimal time invested. Scott only started investing in real estate in 2014 after reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad and he’s never looked back since.
His initial investment property of choice was a “rent-to-own”, which is an investment strategy where the landlord buys a house and puts tenants in it on a program to help the tenant to eventually buy the home. Scott was able to aquire a few nice properties with strategy but ultimately decided that investing in single family homes to convert into duplexes was a better long term strategy for him.
Scott is a wealth of information despite only a short 5 year tenure as a real estate investor. I guess for some people something just clicks!
